Hi. I usually do not ask for advice or obsess about my looks/body... I really dont care that much. As much as some people here might disagree- I am actually not a "look at me, look at me!" person. Actually, far from it. I tend to shy away from the all-too-common Iphone mirror/kissy face pictures posted on facebook - ok, well most of the time ;) - or spending precious hours, or even minutes, snapping pictures of myself for my rmb or flickr account. I have enough confidence, self-esteem, pride- whatever- in the way I look, but sometimes i just break down and say "REALLY?" .. after a few years and several futile attempts at defeating the dreaded belly fat demon, I finally want to flip out! I am supremely frustrated at the moment. So, with all of that blah,blah,blah being said.....

Does anyone have any good tips/workout ideas for the tummy area? or any interesting nutritional factoids? I have heard certain foods, juices, etc help burn it off in this particularly stubborn area, but nothing seems to be work... I have really tried not to obsess about it, because I am very happy with my legs and my big bum (and of course mah boobies), but I am having a severe moment of aggravation. lol. Bodies like rockz and sexideckz- what the EFFF! big perfect boobs and flat stomachs. GRRR. so jealous! So if anyone, ladies and gents, has anything at all to suggest- aside from crunches or *gasp!* giving up my love for beer (waaahh!) puh-leeease let Louu know! Thanks ;)

    Hey sexy! I feel your pain! I work out all the time and I can't fully get rid of this spare tire around my waist haha. I have list a lot though and I hate to be the bearer of bad news bit there really isn't an easy way. Well besides lypo, however you spell that. I just eat healthy and work out a lot with a a ton of core during the week and then have my fun on the weekends cause I'm sure as hell not giving up beer either! Probably not the best help sorry ;) and the best way on top that is straight up jogging! Boring as hell but you'll see the best results! You're stupid sexy no matter what as far as I'm concerned!

    I know how you feel. For the first time in my life I have a little pot belly with a tad of fat on it.

    Mine actually came from over-exercising my ab area, then quitting the gym and letting it turn to flab.

    I was going to get rid of it via jogging, but decided the easier option was to eat less haha.

    Go to yoir doctor and get some phentermine.....do jogging and abs about 3 times a week itll be gone in a month....no sugar and very lil carbs.....so dont quit beer just slow it down

    My steps to cut down on belly (and other kinds) of fat.
    1. Juice diet. In a week, you'll be amazed at the weight you lose.
    2. Core exercises, situps and crunches do little to nothing. Focus on things like planking, etc.
    3. Eliminate excess sugar of all kinds (soda, desserts, etc.) Cutting down on booze helps too, but don't stop drinking altogether, because that's no fun. Haha.

    I've lost 22 lbs since I started doing all of that, in about a month and a half. If I can do it, anyone can.

    Oh, and I agree with supernova, I miss seeing your ass as well :p

    A strange thing I heard to help lose that mid section was not to chew gum! Apparently gum chewing causes you to swallow excessive air which in turn inflates your mid section...I used to chew gum constantly till I heard that.

    But on a personal note I think your perfectly proportioned. Forget what the media says about having the six pack abs most guys will admit they prefer a girl with a little meat to her. I luv ya just the way you are Louu!!

    Seriously though a no carb diet will help shed the unwanted pounds. As much as I don't believe in diets but lifestyle changes. No carbs = no beer and what would are Louu be like without beer?

    okay, i have to tell you: when i tried to get my tummy in shape in high school (i gained at least 20 pounds that i've lost these past 5 months), i did SO many crunches at night. and they gave me the SICKEST upper abs. but i'm telling you right now... unless you have a ball to sit on or prop you up in the right positioning, you're not going to get the results you want in the ACTUAL tummy area that i know you're talking about. so, unless you want higher abs, i wouldn't do so many crunches. i know that planking is a pain in the ass, but it works so many muscles, including your tummy area. i would also suggest, like many, to cut your calories when you drink.
    and i've lost about 20 pounds in the past 5 months, mainly due to cutting my portion sizes, if that counts for anything. but you'll see results everywhere, if you do that! and, although i don't do it (but want to start), jogging is great. (interesting fact, though: if you're a woman that hasn't ran/jogged consistently throughout her life, you can seriously damage your internal babymakin parts if you overdo it. so i would suggest the eliptical. and try to make it an everyday thing, if possible, even if it's just for a bit.)


    hope this helps! and you're beautiful to begin with, so stop doubting yourself! although, i'm also a doubter at points, i understand where you're coming from. keep your head up :)

    There's no way to target fat loss from a certain body part, but u can diet and exercise and the weight will come off as it does. You can however, tone certain body parts, muscle will make it look less flabby as u lose more weight. I realize I am not the skinniest chick on this site, but I did lose 17 lbs last year, so I have some practice =P
